I love scary games, and I will take the controls so my friends could watch. Last year I beat Alien Isolation and it was a slog to get through (quickly went from scary to annoying) and my friends had a blast watching.

I used to play Left 4 Dead with my best friend and we always got excited when we heard the Witch, cause that was our time to pull out the frying pans and smack her.

My favourite is stealth archer in Skyrim, so satisfying to sneak into the hideout of some bandits and just pick them off from the shadows.

Recently showed my partner Princess Mononoke and he was taken aback by the violence every time, especially when one bandits arms get completely shot off. He learned real quick that the cute aesthetic doesn't mean the story will pull its punches.
