Mind you, I have had problems up the muscle chain, all the way to my shoulder and neck.

After surgery doc said “you had way more inflammation than the MRI showed, your lower leg muscle belly was pushing your two peroneal tendons out of their normal resting place, and your ligaments were obliterated” loooooooooool

Since then I played basketball again, ran a couple 5ks (one in converse 😬), went hiking on Routeburn Track in New Zealand, and did a *ton* of travel.

I just got an updated MRI on my foot/lower leg and decided to get surgery to repair the damage.

Didn’t have health insurance (I was in college), and my dad didn’t wanna add me to his health insurance so I didn’t go to the doctor, just borrowed my friend’s crutches he had and did rest, ice, compress, elevate.

A little over a month later I could start to put weight on it.

They’ll compare it to total monies and equipment sent to Ukraine and call it a day
