It’s truly exhausting and ty for putting into words how I figure many of us feel.

I’m a because of the cover buyer. It’ll be the reason I’ll pick up the book then I’ll read the first page, then flip to the middle, read a page, determine if the writing will do, and read the back cover info. Then decide.

This sounds so dystopian. I feel like you do, too, and I also recognize the ability, time, and finances to read a good book for fun is privileged. That it’s become such a luxury is crushingly depressing, though.

I forgot how much I loved this story.
