Amazing footage, this is the 70’s I remember. Love the kid saying the forgotten catchphrase “fans”, everyone wearing the kid uniform: trainers, jeans, t-shirt, maybe a sweat top and some sort of cool jacket. Playing outdoors, unsupervised, wonderful stuff. Thank you fans!

Gary Numan was amazing at Hammersmith Odeon, better than expected, no big hits, focus on Telekon era, sounded timeless and futuristic. Great lighting design too, no screens, HO is the spiritual home of the rock lighting rig. Down In The Park might just be one of the all timer classic songs.

Saw the original Running Man in the cinema, it was terrible. Watched it again on video, it was great, some films just work better at home or with friends or drunk - I would refer to this as the Running Man Effect. Reserving final judgement on the new one until I’ve seen it on Betamax (or Blu ray).

Last night, heard a horrible wailing outside, found someone jumped off the railway bridge, failed suicide attempt, broken legs, great distress. Called 999 but line was bad so had to flag down passers by to call. No neighbours came out, passers by had ear buds, I was the only person who heard it!

Went to see The Young Gods for the umpteenth time, first saw them around ‘87ish. With samples/drums/singer lineup they basically invented a new way to be a band. Still great, never let me down. Set mostly fab new LP, also managed bangers like Skinflowers, Gasoline Man and L’amourir. Top night.
