Andreas Kamilaris (CYENS - Centre of Excellence) visited @w-u-r.bsky.social in March, exploring @npec.nl cutting-edge #phenotyping tech.

Key talks with Dr. Maestrini (climate impact on #crops), Dr. Camino (HTP #wheat via #drones), & Mr. Afonso (AI for crop detection).

CYENS Centre of Excellence has launched its first drone flights over #wheat fields in Cyprus! In collaboration with PHENOTYPOS & Agricultural Research Institute - Cyprus, they're using #hyperspectral & #LIDAR tech to assess 20 #wheat varieties for #yield, quality & #climate resilience.

The team of CYENS - Centre of Excellence, having received guidance and support from @fz-juelich.de , started preparing for the #drone flights at the #wheat fields! The team manufactured #calibration plates and ground control points with the help of the center's ThinkerMakerSpace.

Exciting update from #PHENOWEX! 🌱 The first on-site workshop hosted by @fz-juelich.de was a success! Partners from Ege Üniversitesi, CYENS Centre of Excellence and Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche dove into advanced #phenotyping platforms for #plant breeding.
