November's edition of “From The Bandroom” features the Tyldesley Band.
The band competes in the first section of the North West Area and came first in their regional competition this year, winning a trip to the nationals for the 2nd year in a row.

For our April edition of “From The Bandroom”, we’re driven to Cumbria to visit the Cockermouth Mechanics Brass Band and help them to celebrate their 200th anniversary. As a non-contesting community band, Cockermouth are not bound by rules restricting numbers of players, and so the band is regularly over-subscribed, with even five baritone players not being unknown! The band is based at the Friends Meeting House in Cockermouth under the baton of musical director, Ian Wildgoose.
