Building stuff on the internet ⚡️
imagine going back a couple of years and saying that in the future, people would be clamouring to pay multiple $200 per month subscriptions

do you ever go to product hunt other than if you or someone you know is launching a product that day?

i feel like you could run a successful premier league football club by just buying the rejects from man city and chelsea’s academies

i think it’s funny when you see two celebrities have written a kids book.

it really took two of you to write this book? 😂

new rule of thumb: always scope component ids, even if you think it will only ever appear once on the page

i wonder which podcaster will be the first to successfully pull off a prompt injection attack?
June 12, 2025 at 2:45 PM
there’s a whole class of software that was basically a wrapper to some secret sauce that has now become obsolete thanks to ai
June 11, 2025 at 3:45 PM
what makes you choose using zed’s ai stuff over claude code?

feels like apple is getting cooked in the court of public opinion right now.

i hope they turn it around, i can’t imagine using the alternatives

it’s crazy to think back to the lull between the crypto boom and the ai boom

I love seeing UK startup founders announce they're working on a new "stealth" startup.

I go straight to Companies House to see what the craic is 👀

When I get an LLM to write Elixir, I usually rewrite it all to fit my taste.

When I get an LLM to write anything but Elixir, I think it looks amazing on the first pass.

Pay-to-play LLMs have disproven the notion that developers don’t pay for things.

Fuck it, let’s make it agentic

Claude is amazing on the 5-9 shift when you’ve only got enough energy to describe the problem.
June 4, 2025 at 3:45 PM
I used Claude Code to write a couple of complicated js hooks that would have taken me like a week to write on my own.

I can’t understand AI doomers, this is incredible.
June 3, 2025 at 1:30 PM
When Claude is cooking I feel more like a tastemaker than a developer.
May 29, 2025 at 2:45 PM
Having an option to pay more for a Claude Opus 4 to get it right first time is 100% worth the extra money
May 28, 2025 at 3:45 PM
When Claude is knee-deep in a massive refactor and I get the Anthropic credit recharge email

A problem with AI code is that if there’s an existing incorrect assumption, the AI will just persevere with what you asked it, rather than fixing the underlying problem.
May 23, 2025 at 1:30 PM
The AI dev tooling that has been launched in the last 12 months is insane.

Software development is a complex field, so it's not like these tools have started with a simple job.

It feels inevitable that every job is going to be changed.

The Europa League final is more interesting than the Champions League final this year.

I'd love to know who has the higher lifetime earnings between
Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler

What happened to Elm? Is anyone still using it?
May 9, 2025 at 1:30 PM
AI note-taking during meetings is actually a godsend if you’re a chronically bad notetaker like me.

So many times I’ve gotten off a call and totally blanked on what I’m supposed to do.
