No country, however rich, can afford the waste of its Human Resources. Demoralization caused by vast unemployment is our greatest extravagance morally. It is the greatest menace to our social order. - FDR

Instead of reposting all of the weird crap going on in the US. I’ve decided to post a few personal things to help balance my flow! This is a beautiful flower near our favorite bakery in downtown Corvallis. #corvallis

What’s up with this? A massive random bruise on my hand. No idea how I got it and it doesn’t really hurt. A portent of a week of jury duty?

In my long history of gardening, I’ve never been able to grow a decent head of broccoli - until this year! I think it’s all in the timing. I started early enough to keep it growing before it got too hot and bolted. Yayz!

Now that I follow a few folks that I know and love, I’ll start trying the patience of those who follow me for my societal commentary by mixing in the occasional meaningless personal post! I’ll start with Bentley and his run-in with an Irish Setter puppy, whose enthusiasm wasn’t appreciated! Ow!

I’m getting rid of my significant old seed stash this year by playing garden lotto! I’ve randomly sprinkled ALL of my old seeds into my garden and will see what comes up. Some of the seeds are 10 years old, so I don’t expect a huge response, but it should be interesting!
