Not sure if they use Hocuspocus, but yes, doesn't make sense to build this core functionality again and again.

In this case, they should just use Tiptap's services 😅

On a personal note: I’m glad to prove the skeptics wrong who think venture-backed startups turn their backs on OSS. That’s just not true. Whether you’re bootstrapped or VC-funded, every startup has to find product–market fit. What matters is how you do it, and what mindset you bring as a founder.

That means more value in the core editor. More freedom for developers to use, modify, and build on top of it. And more opportunity for the community to contribute back.

We chose MIT on purpose. It’s not just open source, it’s unrestricted. We want Tiptap to be infrastructure people can trust, not tiptoe ^^ around or deal with multiple OSS licenses for. The MIT license gives developers and companies the clarity and freedom they need to build fast and build with us.

AI could behave like the main characters of your novel, giving you feedback on how they would like to improve or continue the story from their perspective. Then, you could fine-tune the characters' settings, and the AI would adopt them in the novel.

Interesting. Just thinking what the editor should be able to do to make it more suitable, especially for editing novels.
