A yearly ritual during my Basel holidays: visiting the grave of Erasmus in the Münster. Humanist, reformer, and sharp-tongued thinker — a reminder of the enduring value of critical thought.

Start-of-year teaching plan now done: from bachelor courses on policy analysis, institutional logics & thesis track to a master course on policy dynamics and change. Grateful for student conversations that sharpened my thinking. Now: hikes, river swims and quiet days before August resits.

It was a joy and an honor to present the master's diplomas to our Policy & Politics and Governance and Complex Systems Management students last week. We’re bound to see remarkable things from them in the future!
