En tant que Franco-Ontarien de troisième génération, je suis heureux que la ville d’Ottawa et le government Canadien reconnaissent que le français au Canada n’est pas limité au Québec.

Sensitivities aside, as a third-generation Franco-Ontarian, I am pleased that the city of Ottawa and the government of Canada acknowledge that French Canada does not lie uniquely within the borders of Quebec.

Indeed.
And yet, an approval rate of 36% still.
Says a lot about America, not just Trump.

With all due respect to Jason Jacques - Interim Budget Officer (and there is general consensus that he will not be appointed to the role beyond this interim period), it is too early to determine with certainty what the impact of the Government’s initiatives will be over this time horizon.

“The PBO report assumes four envelopes of funding for housing will expire or shrink over the next four years.”
“Government officials speaking on background told CBC News it’s wrong to assume that because these programs have an expiry date, they won’t be extended or topped up.” 1/3

At first glance I was also disappointed. Then I took the time to actually read the article; suggest people do the same. More reassuring than the headline and Charlie’s one point.

Agree these are not mutually exclusive, but it does underscore unfortunately the changed zeitgeist due to the economic malaise too many are feeling.
