Finally I want to thank everyone I got to meet during this trip, you make the warhammer community so special and I can’t wait to see you all again next year! I would strongly recommend this event, especially to those Brits who were put off previously, we are missing out! Sending big love, Philip!

WCW Atlanta was very special to be part of, getting to meet and play vs the best players in the world is an amazing experience. I can’t wait to go back next year and compete for the championship again! Playing 4 days of warhammer was exhausting, especially the shadow round!

On to the awards and the energy was ecstatic, getting to be part of the global warhammer community was the highlight of the event!

Day 4, surrounded by some of the best players I lost round 7 vs SCE in a very narrow game where my go turn was pretty awful. Round 8 I lost by 5 points as I managed to fail a 3+ reroll prio and lose vs Skaven once again. Lovely opponents but sad to the leave the event in two close losses.

Day 3 and I bounced back in the 3-1 bracket. Game 5 was a squeaky 5 point with vs S2D and round 6 was a solid win vs Slaanesh. 5-1 record and 8th overall at the end of the day. Got to have a lovely dinner with @ojay180.bsky.social and his NYC crew at a cool gallery bar!

Unfortunately this was a great battle plan for Skaven and Tristan got a huge double turn to fight through most of my army. I can’t think of a better person to lose my spot to into the Championship bracket and felt like I made a friend for life! We continued to support each other thru the weekend!

Day Two and I needed to not only win all my games but also play spoiler to the undefeated players to make it out of pool 5. Won game 3 vs Nurgle, then also Round 4 vs the lovely Loic from Canada with KO! Destiny awaited and I was on to the shadow round!

Day 1 and pool play begins! Round one I play the magnificent Boris with Ironjaws, he’d go on to win all final 4 of his games! Round two I faced against group favourite Tristan from Team Germany and his formidable Skaven. Tristan won by 2 points so 1-1 on the day! Sidebar - my forge had friends!

Day 0 in Atlanta and as an Architect I’m exploring the city whilst recovering from jet lag. My first time in America and pleasantly surprised by all the cool cites. The hotel lobby and aquarium were fantastic!
