Seriously, someone explain why we can send troops to Washington, DC, but not to Ukraine?

As a proud D.C. resident, I am appalled by the president's description of the city as a dirty, crime-ridden "slum." Even more appalled by his de facto declaration of martial law in the city. Many more people in D.C. voted for the current mayor and council and attorney general than voted for Trump.

Today is the first day in my adult life without a print subscription to a daily newspaper. I'd like to thank Jeff Bezos for making this necessary, through rising prices, declining quality, bad editorial decisions, egregious managerial decisions, and poor customer service at the Washington Post.

SO many pro-life protesters in D.C. today. I can only assume they were lobbying for better perinatal care and subsidized preschool.
