Staffs Birder/Lister. British Twitcher and for my sins an avid Port Vale Fan.
Went down to Hampshire for the Boat Tailed Grackle. I know it’s ship assisted and has no chance of getting on the British List, but it was full of character and a real stunner. Don’t understand why ship assisted birds can’t go on the British list 🤷🏻‍♂️

Izzy Shrike Showed better than the elusive Bluetail today. As died the Red Breasted Fly. Time for a bit of birding before heading home

Blithefield this afternoon produced an Osprey with a fish, 3 Black Terns & 3 Greenshank. A late afternoon dash to Uttoxeter Quarry for the Curlew Sand was in order, the site is looking extremely good for waders currently 👌🏻

It was nice to see the White Stork at Blithefield, it had a blue ring on its left leg. Then a quick dash to Belvide for the Pec Sand, and finally finished up at Berryhill for 4 Whinchats & Stonechats with a couple of Wheatears.
