and should have just scored through Ballard despite the VAR drama, but a mountain to climb now.

Some alright stuff but they'll be gutted with the two goals, so unlike how aggressively they've defended this season.

Odd half. Sunlun started well but unusually poor defending their box and fell behind.

After that Man Utd were too good, playing through the man-for-man press easily. Sunderland were picked apart by the Mbuemo/Amad combination.

Better since the switch to a back three..

Good half for Sunderland.

Survived a couple of scares at the end of the half there but limited Forest. Grew in confidence as it went on.

Not sure about the foul tbh for the goal but well worked.

Roefs, Xhaka, Alderete top drawer so far.
