The longer I work in tech, the more convinced I become of the existence of a techmage aura with significant bonus to system intimidation. Not the first time shit fixes itself automagically as soon as troubleshooting starts as if by your mere remote presence.

Travel for work let's you see a lot of places, but I never feel like I have the time or the energy to tourist. Day 2,5 in NYC and have only popped above ground for Hotel and work. This place is above my expectations though.
