I have to admit I don't understand how the congress does its job, I thought in order to get government to run again, congress has to vote the resolving bill, which I thought meant they have to be in session, but Johnson won't reconvene until government is open again, how does it work then?

IMHO the reason why Trump is trying to get rid of the Epstein thing is more about something embarrassing in there, maybe more info about a humiliation kink or similar. Whatever it is, it must make him look weak.

Time to face reality, people: "...brought in 15 trillion in tariffs... " if that was true, we have cut the current debt nearly in half. But yet, it has not. So either it's a lie OR someone is pocketing the income.

I've always found Iowans to be a kind and friendly people, until hearing Joni Ernst's comments, excuse and pushback against her constituents. Her contempt qualifies her to being asked to resign, it would be the honorable thing to do, naturally she won't.
