Probably white Americans need to travel more to other third world countries and understand what democracy is all about. I worry. Trump will create a haven for the rich, powerful and corrupt. Middle class will become the poor class.

Asian immigrant here. Generation X. Lived in America since I was seven months old. Family was dirt poor with no government assistance but we survived and thrived under our definition of “thriving”. We don’t begrudge asylum seekers. Only reason why they want to come to America is for a better life.
