Idk if bringing back the strawpage is the best idea, while it's nice, the whole it being anonymous thing isn't great. If you feel like you can handle it, you *can* do it, though I wouldn't recommend it, even if people here are generally saner. Also good luck with the recovery of your mental health

As I’ve said before, the copyright of the 3d models belongs to you, even if the characters don’t belong to you. As an example If I made a recording of the happy birthday song, I would own the copyright of the recording even if I don’t have the rights to the lyrics

And the source code to Windows XP is also available, that doesn’t mean that I’m allowed to use it. A license outlines what someone can and can’t do with your creative work, and the assumption for work that doesn’t have a license is that nothing is allowed.
October 22, 2024 at 6:50 PM
You have not. All you have done is just upload files. Unless you choose a license, you have exclusive copyright of the models which doesn’t allow anyone to modify or use your work.
October 22, 2024 at 4:07 PM
Without a license, what someone is allowed to do with the models is unclear, which isn’t good
October 22, 2024 at 1:38 PM
Your models are your creative works and they themselves have copyright protection, just because you didn’t create the characters doesn’t mean that the copyright of your models doesn’t belong to you. It’s your responsibility to pick or not pick a license.
October 22, 2024 at 1:32 PM
While that website is intended for code, that part still applies to this situation, it could help you pick a license. You could also use this to pick a license chooser-beta.creativecommons.org
Choose a License
Want to license your work with Creative Commons, but not sure where to start, or which license is right for you? Use our license chooser!

choosealicense.com/no-permission/ "When you make a creative work. the work is under exclusive copyright by default. Unless you include a license that specifies otherwise, nobody else can copy, distribute, or modify your work without being at risk of take-downs, shake-downs, or litigation."
No License
You’re under no obligation to choose a license and it’s your right not to include one with your code or project. But please note that opting out of open source licenses doesn’t mean you’re opting out ...

Also the models look amazing and you're quite talented. I'll already need to figure out how the rigging works in Blender because VRC requires some bones that just don't exist in the model (and I have no idea what I'm doing), but I don't really wanna try to figure it out without a proper license.
October 21, 2024 at 5:44 PM
Hello! I'm trying to convert your model of Proto to a Vrchat avatar and I just noticed that your models seem to have no license attached to them, which isn't exactly good because a license clearly lays out what someone is allowed or not allowed to do.
October 21, 2024 at 5:41 PM
I have bad news:
1. The creator didn't attach a license to the model, which could be an issue
2. I do not understand how the hell rigging in blender works, and the rig needs work
October 21, 2024 at 5:36 PM
Well, Mixamo didn't accept the original file with the current rig, yeah that's it for today, I'm too tired to continue rn
October 20, 2024 at 6:49 PM
Hmm, this model needs a bit of work that I have absolutely no idea how to do (The model doesn't have a chest bone), and the other model will likely be a ton of work. Yeah I don't think it's getting done today, though I may as well try Mixamo for getting a rig that VRC would satisfied with
October 20, 2024 at 6:44 PM
Well, my first instinct was to try to find one in the Dullish world, but it was a fruitless endevour. I'll try to figure out how the hell to covert a 3d model in to an avatar because I managed to find some that looked good
