The mobile settings app starts app normally (for demo purposes) but when maximized it uses the received cutout information to shift its UI element downward enough to not overlap with the display notches (rendered in transparent purple by the compositor). #phosh's panel becomes transparent so things look more uniform (which is mostly a hack atm and there to make the demo look more interesting 🤓 ) #LinuxMobile

And I thought "Hey, I've already got #PostmarketOS on a phone. We know Valve is using some 'FEX' library. How hard could it be?" As it turned out, remarkably easy. We’d like to invite our members as well as everyone interested in Phosh and the activities of Phosh.mobi e.V. to our first online Phosh community get together on 2025-11-18 19:00 CET at https://ev.phosh.mobi/gettogether/ and to our next meeting in the Datenburg at 2025-12-04. ### Why an online meeting? While some of us meet at various conferences the members of our association are distributed over different countries which makes joining in person meetings hard to impossible. An online meeting gives us an opportunity to chat outside of the General Assembly which has a more formal character. It also provides a way for not (yet?) members to get to know us, ask questions and share experiences. If this works out well we intend to schedule this on a regular basis. ### Is there a formal agenda? No, this get together is for you so we might chat about whatever comes up. Daily driving experiences, interesting projects, news from conferences, planning of the next conference booth, …. ### How does it work? Everyone interested joins the big blue button instance. You can just listen in or join the ongoing discussion, with or without having your camera enabled. ### Are there offline meetings too? Yes. We had one last year in the Datenburg and want to repeat that at the same location (Bornheimer Str. 25, 53111 Bonn) on 2025-12-04 starting at 18:00 CET.
