Interesting. Yea, there aren’t easy way to pass data around. I seem cases of using FormData event to inject data before submit. And, my dumb solution is simply expose hidden input element in light DOM and have browser take care of it. (Yes, and there are WCAG issues to tackle with)

I use web components (custom element) in this case. Although web components has its own limitations, but it’s easier to work with template engines, especially when populating data. There are clear benefits of SSR, but I also wonder how do others integrating react/vue/…etc if not fetching via API?

It is a good CMS to get most of things done. I’m not sure about the recent version, but I had pain maintaining v4 to work with i18n and CSP.

I use Wagtail, just to get things done fast.
