Cheney died, Mamdani won, Prop 50 passed, and a wave of elections won blue. Finally an Election Day that feels hopeful and happy instead of grim and depressing. We’ve got a long way to go, but this is a step in the right direction!

Made the drive back in 11 hours flat. Only made two stops for fuel, one in Quartzsite and one in Bakersfield. Brought food and water with me so I didn’t have to make a stop for that. Such efficient drudgery! Managed 27mpg even with a car full of stuff averaging 80mph, quite pleased with that.

9 hours down, 3 hours left, smooth drive so far. Averaging 28mpg, still listening to Soilwork. 12 albums (1 is a double), a compilation album, and several EP’s means I have plenty of material to work through. Maybe In Flames for the return trip?

Man, after driving a misfiring 540i with a trailer attached and a U-Haul truck with a car trailer, the 325it feels like an absolute rocket. 190hp, 5-speed manual, glorious. Got my V1 as well. Listening to the entire Soilwork discography start to finish, let’s gooooo

Been moving from Phoenix to Sacramento the past few weeks, needless to say it’s been a ton of stress and work. So many drives and flights. I’m happy to have moved but man will I be glad when it’s all done.

The founding fathers wrote the second amendment with the intention of preventing tyranny in case the system of checks and balances failed. Unfortunately they didn’t account for the fact that a majority of 2A supporters are Trump bootlickers. A very sad and stupid irony indeed.

One thing I really don’t like about the car community (and auto industry) is how many people in it are right-wing assholes & sympathizers. Like you have people still wearing MAGA hats at car shows like there’s nothing wrong with it.

E34 is back in action. Spent an eternity cleaning the valley and then installed new valley pan cover, knock sensors, water pump, idlers, belts, intake gaskets, and throttle cable.
