Not just a happy new year, but in the fight to preserve our democracy and the rule of law, a BRAVE and STRONG 2026 to all. "The price of liberty is eternal vigilance." Here's also wishing for MAGAs to finally see what's being done to them, and leave the darkness for the light.

The man himself.
Smith: He was getting calls from people he trusts, people he relies on—and he still refused to come to the aid of the people at the Capitol. That’s very important evidence for criminal intent in our case.

Anyone else living in the snow belt just wanna hibernate? I'm so over these freezing blasts of wind.

Worrisome if accurate.
Now they are using USPS as a way to rig elections 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

For those of us who can’t get through the WSJ pay wall, here’s the nuts and bolts of what in any other era would be the greatest presidential scandal in history.

Trump pardons "start at $1m," reports WSJ
A simple process: you give a lobbyist the money, they talk to someone in Trump's inner circle such as his son, then Trump pardons you.

This Is What Presidential Panic Looks Like
Donald Trump delivered a fear-drenched rant live from the White House.

Those agents are the scum of the earth. I hope someone reported the license plate number of the vehicle.
Is this really our country? Not the one that I use to know and love prior to Trump...time for him to go away, far away.

Everyone involved should be brought up on charges.

And release the Epstein files.

There was a delightful winter village scene in the hospital lobby today. I couldn't get every detail, but I love the tiny raccoon in the garbage can.

Two National Guardsmen were shot in Washington, D.C.

Democrats immediately express their sympathy for the victims and their families.

Republicans immediately spread conspiracy theories to blame Democrats for the shooting.

Anyone still believe both parties are the same?

Just incredible.
Extremely rare White Auroras like never before spotted in the skies of Alaska last night👀 🌌✨

Sadly, I'm not surprised at all about the source of so-called Ukraine peace plan. Wheelers and dealers trading a way a nation for self-advantage.
More evidence that the Trump/Witkoff “peace plan” for Ukraine came straight from the Russians - it uses Russian syntax.

Another day, another Trump grift. Anyone else remember accountability?
During the first Trump administration, selling Trump Wines on federal property would have been a scandal (as it should be).

But this time around, it’s just yet another piece of a corruption tidal wave. 🧵
Trump Wines Sold At Coast Guard Stores On Federal Property
Exchanges in Washington, D.C., and Virginia have stocked Trump-branded wine and cider, allowing his family’s business to earn revenue from sales on federal property.

The US withdrawal from WHO could impact the flu shot.

Flu samples sent to CDC from around the world are down 60% this year, as of July.

"When those viruses are not coming in, we don't know what to put in the vaccine, and you're going to have less effective vaccines."

Why next year's flu shot might not be as good as it should be
America's withdrawal from the World Health Organization is affecting the ability of U.S. scientists to track flu and other pathogens. That could be a blow to the development of the 2025 flu vaccine.

Trump filed lawsuits over jokes, tweets, and news articles, but not once over any of the countless allegations of child rape. I feel like more people should mention that.

Had a lot of kids in cute costumes at the door tonight. How can so few of them know to say, "Trick or treat"? It's so easy, and it's what the night is about! Many just stood there. I tried to coach them: "What do we say on Halloween"? Blank look. Get with it, kiddies! 😛 👻

My purpose for calling the WH comment line was to demand that tRump release the $5B emergency fund to keep SNAP going. I did figure that no one would be there to answer the phone, but an automated phone service could still take messages so that Dump can ignore them. Next up, Thune and Johnson.

JFC. I just called the White House comment line, 202-456-1111, and was treated to a whirl of B.S. from Karoline Leavitt, saying that because Democrats shut down the government, you can't leave a message. She added, "President Trump will never stop working for you." Eff that lying bitch.

I haven’t seen anyone talk about how Jane Doe - an Epstein survivor - just sued the Bank of New York Mellon for funding Epstein and failing to file a Suspicious Activity Report. A Mellon heir is the one who gave $130M to pay the troops. Seems bribey to me.
