Genuinely good SciFi has originality of ideas, not a rehash of what came before. Like all good literature it should challenge the way you think. I expect allowing AI will make it a lot bigger job filtering out the mediocre.

There is only one pot of money. Until the government comes to its senses and sets more sensible tax rates and gets rid of loopholes, nobody will get anything. Doctors pay would not be front of my queue but as I said, their conditions of work is.

The buildings they work in need repairs and replacement and while there are prospective doctors without jobs we should be employing them so doctors workoad is made easier. Continued striking is not helping. There are a lot of others working for public services more deserving at the moment.
