Also if I had nickel for every time a book talked about the fact that a racist yt man set back scientific program by insisting there’s no way man could have evolved out of Africa, I’d have two nickels. Which is wholly unsurprising but it was interesting that it came up in back-to-back books 😬

I have MANY thoughts 😂 In terms of modern horror, I loved:
Suspiria, all of Jordan Peele’s films, It Follows, The Lodge, Hereditary, The Autopsy of Jane Doe, As Above So Below
I’ve also been delving into Korean horror. Def recommend The Wailing, I Saw the Devil, Gonjiam Haunted Asylum & Kingdom
