I think out yellow cards had a massive impact - a lot of the players playing within themselves and Zubi having to be taken off meant we lost even more control / impact from Rice further up the pitch

I’d suggest we 100% focus on getting us into the best possible shape for Chelsea - if that means playing some of our best players to keep them tip top great, if not do a Pep and move on to Sunday 👍. We also have to throw the Carabao cup tie v Palace; need to avoid a 2-legged drama semi final in Jan

What is the frame rate per second of the cameras used for the tech? There must be some inbuilt margin of error purely through the accuracy with which a snapshot can be taken. I’d be amazed if the margin of error is only 5cm once all variables taken into account.

This has to get sorted at some point though right? You can’t have clubs investing billions in footballers to win trophies, to then let FIFA borrow them for free then hand them back broken and say “oops, sorry”

Isn’t there a massive inconsistency here? The Doku incident could have been adjudged to be a pen, but not sufficient for VAR to overrule the refs on field decision. It’s subjective that Oliver thinks Doku went down in a way that”consistent with contact”?

It’s interesting that we are worried about overplaying Gykoreres however city are playing a sprint monster every minute of every game as they are so reliant upon him. Is that sustainable? Hopefully not…

It’s hard to analyse given we don’t know all the facts, but the fact they didn’t sit his arse down for the Liverpool game looks pretty damning in hindsight. Innocuous ankle roll; back in 2 weeks = 4-6 weeks of missing key games. 🤯
