OK LAST ONE!! Again not confusing but it bothered me. Eng Satomi says Kyouji's face is scary. In JP he says his face is "strong." I take this as more "striking" and a backhanded compliment vs "scary."

English manga extra: 1) His face is scary

Japanese manga extra: 顔が強い
Literally: His face is strong
From googling this is mostly said about celebrities or other hot people. so I would go with "striking" if I was actually translating this lol

The Eng manga lists Kyouji's tattoo as a hawk for some reason. It's a crane.

English manga extra: "The most charming thing about me is the giant hawk on my back."

Japanese manga extra:チャームポイントは背中の鶴の紋紋
My translation: My charm point is the crane tattoo on my back

Kyouji's alcohol intolerance: In JP Kyouji says he's a teetotaler and never drinks. In Eng they skip this and he just says something about joining up. This comes up a lot in fanworks so I think it's an important detail

This isn't confusing in a fandom context, I just found it weird. In Eng the bald guy says a line about harmony, in JP he says "He's like the Toshi [from X Japan] of the Reiwa era." It's like they were afraid of referencing specific JP singers, and yet they still do in some spots??

Cocaine alien: they don't use this term in the english translation, maybe they thought it'd be too weird/confusing?

this one blew my mind when i noticed thanks to the anime. in JP kyouji says people DON'T leave him when they sit up front vs english where he says everyone leaves him :(. this just looks like a straight up error to me

first of all, matsuribayashi family. it's "sairin" in the eng translation. can't blame anyone for this rly since there's no pronunciation guide and this is the only place it appears.
