I've been on Martha's Vineyard the last five days. I love a New England town. Give me Block Island. Give me The Berkshires. Give me the Finger Lakes-- but only in the summer. I'm thankful for the time spent with friends and the people I met.

Last night's Atlanta Dream game was a blast. It made me think about watching WNBA games with my dad as a little girl. I had a Cynthia Cooper poster on my bedroom wall. I'm grateful my dad never said stupid things about women's sports and even let my short self believe I could play LOL!!!

Last night's reading of THE VOTE was absolutely fabulous! Thank you to everyone who came out on a monsoon-ish Tuesday in Atlanta. The energy in the room was amazing. I look forward to this play finding its way to the stage. The Reconstruction Trilogy continues!!!

Seeing John Proctor is the Villain this afternoon. It's definitely a similar audience to the demo that went up for Suffs and The Prom. We shall see if it makes me hate The Crucible more lol

I look for street art wherever I go. I loved seeing these beautiful murals in the historic Anacostia neighborhood in D.C. last weekend. Beauty is a quality of life issue.

As the praises go up, the blessings come down. THE WASH will be featured at the City of Smyrna Black History Month program. A reminder that you have to have a strong enough no to advance your yes!
