FWIW if you sprinkle the earth into a fan it breaks it into a fine dust that settles everywhere evenly. Just be careful as it's basically silca dust which isn't good for you lungs

I found using diatomaceous Earth EVERY WHERE acted as a good population control until I could get the cash together to get a new bedframe (all metal) so they had nowhere to live.
