In Sept.1953, Tacoma’s AFL business reps gathered on the steps of the Labor Temple at 1355 Market Street. Meeting each Wednesday for lunch, the group worked to share information, strengthen solidarity, and advance the common interests of union workers.

#TBT to July 1947 at the Tacoma-Pierce County Blood Bank 🏥 where 18 loggers were donating to their AFL local 2587 Lumber and Sawmill Workers Union blood pool. The blood bank was a critical need for the community that LABOR founded in 1946. Tacoma is a union town! 💯✊🏻
