It depends what you mean by prototype vs released product, I suppose. They were the proof-of-concept product, used in (low) hundreds of homes. Prototype, to me, means a handful at most, usually with patch wires.

I think it's any STB1, rather than just prototypes. But Spinner was the codename for it, which is another clue.
