ESPN is a blight on sports programming. They're the absolute worst.
December 19, 2025 at 2:27 PM
Yup. You're absolutely right. That's the one time they absolutely delivered. I'd also say at FSU in 2016 and then they followed it up getting boat raced by VT. Just an absolutely frustrating program.

Beat Clemson? Nope. Beat Notre Dame? Nope. Big Bowl wins? Nope. Disappointing losses as double digit favourites? Yup. Blow out losses to James Madison and ECU? Yup.

I was telling my wife - I've been a lifelong basketball fan but started following Carolina football regularly in 2014. I struggle to think of many positives during that time. 2015 was fun, Maye and Howell were fun, but no big wins, no big bowl wins, just a lot of disappointment and frustration.

It's a really short list
December 13, 2025 at 1:32 AM
I'm pretty sure that's the most I've ever laughed at a movie in theatre.

Oh I also can't imagine how some travellers are going to end up at some of these stadiums like MetLife or AT&T or Gillette that are pretty far from the actual host cities. We have decent enough transit in the Toronto area that it shouldn't be an issue here.
December 12, 2025 at 3:08 AM
That probably won't be wrong in 2030
December 12, 2025 at 12:28 AM
Everybody. FIFA, the sponsors, everybody who plays a role in this robbery. The countries placing the bid can't insist that this bullshit doesn't happen? Caps on prices, etc.?
December 11, 2025 at 11:39 PM
Oh I'm sure they did that completely independently.
December 11, 2025 at 11:33 PM
Just another example of the corporate greed that runs rampant here in North America. And there's far too many bootlickers happy to go along with it.
December 11, 2025 at 11:21 PM
That's because the German football fan won't tolerate such nonsense. We allow ourselves to be taken for a ride by greedy sports owners here in North America.
December 11, 2025 at 10:45 PM
Derek, I went to the Super Cup in Munich in 2023 and sat lower level and paid €80 a ticket. I just applied for a Cat 1 ticket for Germany/Côte d'Ivoire in Toronto for a cost of $840 CAD a ticket. I'm lucky I live here. Imagine flying and paying for a hotel too? It's absurd. German football gets it.
December 11, 2025 at 10:39 PM
I just put in a request for tickets. I am fortunate to live near one of the venues. The prices were $840 CAD for a Cat 1 seat and $600 for a Cat 2. Not sure how anybody can reasonably fly here, pay for accommodations, and afford those prices.

Tucker isn't a Boras guy.
December 11, 2025 at 3:48 PM
In a hypothetical scenario where the Sox sign Bregman and trade for Marte, would a Marcelo Mayer for Kyle Teel trade make any sense for both teams?
December 10, 2025 at 6:42 PM
Or Boston...
December 10, 2025 at 5:45 PM
I can't believe lowers are that reasonable. I wanted to go see the Pens at SBA over the Holidays and the get in price was almost 400 CAD.
December 8, 2025 at 9:54 PM
There's literally a guy on his show called Mad Dog.
December 5, 2025 at 11:31 PM
Was it a collared shirt?
December 5, 2025 at 6:57 PM
He's wearing a new hoodie

I prefer to keep my Hubert bitching offline, so I regret bringing it forward here, but I just don't think he can optimize the talent he gets. He is what he is at this point. That was a good win, but I sure don't feel good about it.
December 3, 2025 at 4:56 AM
Sure, but counterpoint: this offense looks terrible and predictable and it's been like this for most of his 5 years outside of a year and a month.

A preview of what was to come in a few months.
