Yeah, one of my favorite parts of TES is that the Gods appear in different aspects to different cultures (Auri-el vs. Akatosh for example). It both gives the Gods this extra layer of 'unknowability' and also tells a lot about how each culture views its chosen diety

Hilarious to me that they chose what I think is the most unpopular Gen V starter. Considering how little most fans care about Totodile and Chikorita, I wonder if its GF's own kind of 'rehabilitation' for overlooked starters

Yeeeesss, let people cook on games and actually finish them before they release. Literally the only issues with PLA and SV were that they didn't have enough time for optimization/bug catching, so I'm glad it looks like they're solving that

I've liked how GF has used spin-offs over the years to explore new gameplay ideas like that. Considering how much has been invested in competitive and how popular that scene is now, I can't see them bucking such a fundamental part of the gameplay without *years* of prepping the audience
