Translation student. Mostly ENG/FI. Any/all.

Do not get me started on politics or Fire Emblem, unless you're prepared for the consequences.
I take it you didn't play shadow dragon in one of the harder difficulties

But the sprite is so cool though

As a translator I usually veer against any choices that are basically altering the creative vision/vibe of the original unless such a change is absolutely necessary, which this clearly isn't, but "shepherds" is a very flavourful name for the group nonetheless.

Huh, didn't know this. The original 自警団 has definitely a very different vibe, my favoured dictionary has it as "vigilance committee; vigilante corps" (a super literal translation might be "independent policing group"). "(Independent) militia" would maybe be the ""non-localized"" translation.

Totuushan on vielä yksinkertaisempi; mies on ihan rehellisesti tyhmä ja nyt vielä vanhuudenhöperö.

There are few shared human experiences as sordid as realising that the alcohol you're drinking on your own is not making you happy

Take care

Yeah the game was a pretty good "podcast game" for me for a while but as a fan service game it really fell short of its potential to put it mildly, the 3DS and especially Fates favouritism was obscene. This was just before 3H too, so I remember being worried that the series was done experimenting.

This is one of the underappreciated details of Thracia; after a lot of experimentation in FE1~4, Thracia is the point where the baseline structure of an FE game was settled on. Maybe just because Kaga left after, but still.

It has a lot of wild mechanics, but they are built on a very familiar base.

I remember you posting this exact question years ago on the other app

Anyway, my answer remains the same

I didn't read any guides beyond the game mechanics and soft lock stuff, and it was at times a rough ride. Still, not nearly as "difficult" as cq lunatic, and in many ways it's a top 5 FE game for me. You'll have to use your own discretion re: most guides, but you'll have a good time I'm sure.

2. if you don't have door keys in the final map.

Also, you should learn how capturing/stealing works from a spoiler free guide.

Beyond that, you can play the game more or less entirely blind, though some simple chapter by chapter recruitment/gaiden chapter guides can go a long way too.

It's bot difficult-difficult in the same way as modern FE on high difficulty settings, it's more "old-school nintendo hard" in that it can be cryptic and mean to blind players. It's the only FE where you can pretty feasibly soft lock yourself, 1. if you escape first with Leif on escape maps and

There are still people who think this country is an introvert's heaven

lol

I'd give that a 90/10 split, in that people who would do that unironically only exist in a few American cities
January 14, 2026 at 9:22 AM
I think the 3H boom introduced a lot of people that have the "the ethics of a character/story at their face is directly correlated with how much you should like them" brainworm. Many discussions around characters from that game are plagued by this, in a way that I don't remember seeing before.

One of the few people I really look up to and idolise to an extent
