So embarrassing don’t you think? Vulgar even.

We saw a chaffinch today. We used to get quite a few but have been rarer in our garden this last 12 months. In other new we are regularly seeing a ring neck parakeet 🦜There maybe two according to some reports. (Sheffield has loads of course).

I wonder if it is the same someone I’ve muted for 30 days today 🤔

Oh no we have two little kegs of Harvey’s Old Ale in the garage. Good beer too. Such a shame that tosser has now tainted it. 🙁

72 😅 and my top genre (even though it couldn’t be defined) is Grunge - I blame an afternoon when I had the house to myself listening to Chris Cornell.

Which is why I make something light, fresh, clean and lemony to follow such a large meal. On another day in the depths of winter a Christmas pudding should always be accompanied by a St Clement’s Sauce. There I’ve said it. 🍋🍊

We get those along with goldfinches and the odd very pretty coal tit. Chaffinches seem to have disappeared so far this year as have the Greenfinches, fingers crossed we see them back.
November 21, 2025 at 12:14 PM
We never see bullfinches.

I spotted a pair of black caps in ours a couple of days ago. Bigger than a great tit but smaller than a blackbird. They were in the garden for a while.
