I don’t think changing the officiating would have changed the outcome of the game but it is wild to me how much of an anti-Flyers slant there was tonight. Several big missed calls and just bizarre decisions regarding penalizing one player more than another. The Abols one is particularly egregious.

Sam has always had such a strong mental game. Early in the season he was playing better than his numbers and kept getting bad bounces that turned into hard to save goals. Now we’re seeing his confidence is waivering. Not sure if it’s Vladar’s success or his own bad games but he’s struggling.

I can honestly say that was both the best and worst game of my life. Disgustingly dirty play led to two players getting injured but the energy was electric and the guys stepped up for one another.

It’s good I’m not a hockey insider because I would be spreading rumors about why The Sabres are suddenly playing to their potential. The first rumor, they’re now allowed to take showers longer than 5 minutes under their new GM which has really improved morale.

The Flyers could be playing better that’s why they’re losing but really the main issue here is Grubauer is playing amazing. He’s had some outstanding stops and really won this game for them.

Midseason NHL standings are the worst because everyone has played a different number of games so I look at a team and see their doing well but they’re actually frauds who’ve played 3 more games than everyone else.

Maybe I’m just built different but if my team had a guy get their helmet knocked off by a player in an effort to get them off of a teammate, I would just think, how rude they did that to MY TEAM and move on because it is objectively a funny and whimsical solution and I think pests are good.
