2/ The library announced this a couple days after the Observer had teased a possible change in ownership, suggesting a deal secretly in the works. So, among the questions: how is the library coming up with the money for purchase, and are they promising an ongoing subsidy.

A newsprint magazine. Really, an advertiser with monthly events calendar. Articles about local stuff are mostly non-controversial. How will it report on future ballot issues affecting the library? There recently was a very contentious vote about sale of a parking lot for highrise development.
