Jangle. Jazz. Orange juice.
Wasn‘t aware that you have been in Cologne.

Can relate to that. The reason I took a few pictures was that I noticed this window for the very first time. It’s in a side door right at the entrance to the pool. Must have walked by that window a hundred times without taking notice.

Though not trained as a photographer, Asimina Paradissa has her style and shaped her own visual narrative. What a pleasant surprise - go see Asimina Paradissa!

Also a good reminder of Germany’s history as a country of immigrants, how it has been treating migrants (not very welcoming) and what the workers‘ movement did for modern society (making sure they give you ear protection when operating heavy machinery - no brainers, you‘d think today).

Her photographs are personal and offer a not-often-seen inside view into life in factories and workers’ dormitories and how migrant women lived in 1960s Germany.

In one of their séparées, they are showing Asimina Paradissa‘s photographs. I have been quite often to ML but never noticed them before. Born in northern Greece, she came to Germany in the 1960s as a migrant worker. She worked in factories by day — and photographed her life.
