Hello! That would require some infrastructure changes, and there are no plans for it at the moment. For now, you can create a Bsky account specifically for use with Pinksky.

The popup describing it only appears on the first launch. Everywhere else (app store, bsky profile) it’s described as a "client".
Still, "client" is a bit technical term, so we've been testing other ways to describe the app's purpose in a way that feels clearer to regular users. Example:

As mentioned, it’s a tough discussion. ATProto is actually about “opting in” to different app views, and Bluesky app view is public. Pinksky isn’t an app view, it’s just a client. Blocking it would be like preventing others from viewing your posts on @deck.blue, for example.

We considered creating an "opt-out" from Pinksky, but it would go against ATProto's core nature. Some people enjoy seeing photos, others videos or text. Fragmenting it would be like returning to the “silos” that traditional social media have built. It’s a very tough discussion.

That said, we believe this should be clearer when creating a Bluesky/ATProto account. It’s already in the ToS, but many users join expecting a Twitter-like experience without realizing how different it really is. And maybe that’s the whole point of Bluesky’s purpose.

Hello! We'll update the app to respect your Bluesky visibility settings. Thanks for pointing it out.
Remember, Bluesky runs on the public AT Protocol. Pinksky doesn’t scrape data; it simply displays content that comes from Bluesky api. Any other AT Proto app can do that, not only Pinksky.

No. Some people think that stories are just reposts and links, but the user can also choose to post the photos/videos to appear only in the story section. Some updates will come to fix this

Looks like you have Custom profile grid enabled on your profile, with this option posts will not appear automatically. Try disabling it on "Edit your profile" section

That was not planned but I can think of an option to enable it in the future versions. Thanks for the suggestion!

Currently, posts in a thread are displayed on your profile, and threads continue in the post comments. This should be improved in future versions, but I haven't figured out how yet.
