Our cat Buffy loves the faucet but won’t use a fountain. We’ve tried three kinds. Just FYI. We keep her from begging for the faucet by adding extra water to her food. Then she is happy with a simple water bowl and doesn’t obsess about the sink.

I won’t tell you how to feel, but you aren’t at fault for what happens to him. That’s why we have Good Samaritan laws (for people who try to help humans). The only way you could avoid mistakes is to never try to help—and then think of all the cats who would suffer if you didn’t try.

In the US, health issues with eyes are covered by insurance, just not preventative care and vision correction (glasses, contacts). Which should be covered! But it’s much better than the teeth situation.
