My son and daughter-in-law got married on my birthday. It was easily the best gift ever (well, maybe next to the white-noise-that-helps-me-sleep-at-night machine that my husband gave me one year), but it also means that we don't do things together on my birthday.

I sabotaged the skirt I had to sew in home economics (does it still exist anywhere in the US?) because I hated it so much. I managed never to get the zipper in. I am one of the world's worst seamstresses. I did, however, make fleece sleeping bags + pillows for my kids' beanie babies.

This is what happens when you hang out with cool people at shows. Nice work, Ms Mugler!

😢 She has been with me all my life, and that is a pretty long time. What an amazing human she was. May her memory be for a blessing.
