- these series makes me hungry with how food was described delectably
- subtle lessons in each story, not in your face, but you will get it
- chef is really great but he doesn’t let the cat in 😿

Case File Compendium by Rou Bao Bu Chi Rou Vol 2&3

- okay the other male mc is really an asshole
- so much hate between the leads i really don’t know how this will shift
- also a LOT of trigger warnings here

The Convenience Store by the Sea by Sonoko Machida

- interconnected stories with the convenience store as its location
- reading this made me crave 7/11’s egg sandwich
- i get the shiba fanclub tho, if there was a manager like Shiba, I’d buy every day too 🤣
- nice read, excited for book 2

We’ll prescribe you another cat by Syou Ishida

- short and sweet
- can relate to the last story about wanting to be with your cat who’s almost at the rainbow bridge 😢
- but seriously I totally get it about the so may different types of cat litter!!!!

- its book 1 but damn the tension is so freaking there
- its kind of refreshing to read a danmei set in the modern period
- there’s gonna be a blood kink here somewhere, i feel it 😁

Strange Houses by Uketsu

- this is weirder and creepier than his first book
- this got me hooked for 2 hours, finished in one sitting
- i used to play a game where you fix the rooms on a blue print to match the shape of the house, damn that really came into play when reading this 🤣

The Cat Who Saved Books by Sosuke Natsukawa

- a quick but nice read
- I would also go with a talking cat to save books, no questions asked
- I do question how the kid will survive on his own though, not sure the bookshop can support his living

- technically the end but we still have Vol 11 for the extras

The Healing Season of Pottery by Yepn So Min

- I needed the calm tone of the story, and it was a good decision to pick this up from my TBR pile
- the story gives you a feeling of hope, that it’s okay to take a break and to find yourself again before embarking on a new path
- and there’s a cat too 😻

Katabasis by R.F. Kuang

- ok this was mindblowing in the sense that the concept is intelligent and it makes me feel stupid
- makes you reminisce about making your thesis
- bro the plot twists!!!

-expected a LOT but was a bit disappointed
-my GABA levels couldn’t keep up with the scientific parts
-the good part started around Chapter 100
