The story of that Space Pirates episode is incredible isn't it. The guy actually had a playable off-air recording from 1969, a miracle in itself. Sod's law it had to be a surviving episode.

I know humour is subjective, but when I used to come up with absurd Dr Who "fun facts" on Twitter there was always an inherent joke working within the framework of internal logic, often rewarding niche fandom knowledge.

Whereas these people think making up completely random shit is somehow funny.

There was so much landfill indie rock but I still reckon it was the most exciting period for British music since Britpop. Nostalgia may be playing a large part in that though.

Still a great album. Saw them in Leeds whilst I was at uni, sharing the bill with Funeral For A Friend, The Von Bondies and a little known band called Franz Ferdinand who had just broken into the mainstream with Take Me Out. I'm getting old, aren't I?
