Husband and I have concluded that there is no better soap character in the history of the world than this guy…

I had microblading yesterday for the first time and whilst I totally trust the process, let’s just say I am very glad I’m not going to be seeing many people this week! 😂😂

After a couple of weeks of galavanting we’ve now returned to the real world. It’s been a rough few months losing father in law, husband’s Nana & my mum all in the space of 3 months so it’s been nice to disengage from every day life & spend quality time together. The cats were very pleased to see us!

Got home from Croatia Wednesday evening, did a shit ton of washing, said goodbye to the lads Thursday evening so they could head off on holiday with their dad, got on a plane to Lanzarote on Friday and were dangling our feet in our swim up pool of our adults only all inclusive hotel by the evening.

Croatia is utterly beautiful. Our apartment is right on the beach so I fell asleep to the sound of the waves last night, and then spent the afternoon swimming in the sea. Teenagers have also given it the seal of approval! 10/10 thoroughly recommend!

A year ago (thanks Timehop) my usually well behaved 15yo persuaded his mate to climb into back of this already broken chair at school & I got called about it. Obv I supported school & he was in trouble but husband & I laughed privately imagining his mate in there going “yep, you’re right, I fit!”

It was the husband’s birthday yesterday and he deserves the best of everything always, it’s a privilege growing older with such an all round awesome person. Also I am quite pleased that I managed to capture some of his impressive athletic ability in this little collage.

Genuinely wish I could do it again.

Not to mention a brilliant little surprise appearance from boy(man?)band Five…

Continuing our series of nostalgic concerts this summer and there is nobody who gets a crowd going quite like Mr Robbie Williams…

Not to mention my very lovely husband coming along and dancing along with me whilst I sang my heart out!

What a bloody fantastic show.

I love how songs can so powerfully evoke memories. This song just came on my Spotify & I still know it word perfectly. It reminds me of holidays to France with my parents arguing with my brother in the back seat about whose side the cool box was most on! 😂

Husband & I take a walk together most evenings and this was tonight’s view 🌙❤️

Popped in to visit my mum today as it’s her birthday (81 years young!) and she was uncharacteristically chatty, said ‘thank you’ when I told her I loved her and laughed when I sang her ‘happy birthday’ 🎶🎂🥰
Her lovely care home staff made such a fuss of her and decorated her room.

Are you a parent of a baby/toddler who co-sleeps and is very attached to you, who gets sick of people using phrases like “rod for your own back”? Ignore them all and please don’t worry, because one day you’ll be sending them messages like this in the school holidays…

My proudest achievement this week came 10 minutes ago when I nailed a word perfect rendition of C’est La Vie by B*Witched in the car. Got home and told the husband who looked me up and down and said “of course you did” and then I remembered what I’m wearing today.

I’m sure there is some flattering reason why this lad always tries to sit with his arse in my face, but I’d still prefer it if he didn’t.

Boogie is a bit perturbed by what we got the 18yo for Christmas…

I took 15 to London today and 18 took the train down from Coventry to meet us there where we spent the day Christmas shopping before going to Hyde Park Winter Wonderland. I’m utterly knackered but I have had the loveliest day and am so lucky to be mum to these two. My heart is full ❤️

This popped up on my Timehop today from 2 years ago. The very real impact that medical negligence had not just on my physical health. Receiving my damages award meant I could pay for specialised therapy that I really needed. I took this test again today out of curiosity & my scores are now 4 & 2.

This year, instead of work nights out, husband and I have arranged a series of our own Christmas nights out to dress up and try out local newish restaurants we’ve wanted to go for ages. Tonight is restaurant number 1, Indian food!

The only interaction I got from my mum when I visited her today was a nod & a smile when I asked if she liked my Christmas jumper. #alzheimers

Erm, ok. (It probably won’t surprise you to know that he fell off about 20 seconds after I took this.)
