Kudos for speaking out, but... "it's a little strange..."?

When are Democratic politicians going to start speaking more directly?

It's "wrong," "unacceptable," or "hypocritical."

A first: Unlike Trump, some Republicans recognize this issue will hurt them if they don't do something.

I may be wrong, but I think it'll be a tough sell to convince the MAGA crowd that funding HSAs is better than simply extending the Affordable Care Act subsidies.

"Senior Advisor to the Attorney General for U.S. Attorneys"

Well, it's better than:
- Chief Curbside Counsel
- Asphalt Arbitration Architect
- Parking Loy Legal Liaison

Great write-up, especially when a recording device couldn't be used!

There's so many good quotes, but I like this one the most:

I can’t help but think of the “sign this” scene from Blazing Saddles:”

I suspect (fear) that there's a Trump staffer who is keeping a growing list of the people who've committed illegal acts who will receive a pardon at the end of Trump's term of office.

My prediction: the final count of pardons by Trump will be staggering.

Are traders simply expecting the Fed to cut interest rates again?

Alternatively, with consumer confidence declining, could a market correction be forthcoming in the medium term, especially as importers begin passing more of their tariff costs on to consumers?

Reminds me of visitors who don't speak the native language so they simply speak louder.

So, I was a bit surprised the Govt didn't repeat the same arguments in ALL CAPS! For example, AS WE ALREADY TOLD YOU, ...📣

So what's the District Judge's next move?

1. Ignore this "correction" since it has affidavit or declaration to correct representations made in court?
2. Haul them all back into court?
November 20, 2025 at 11:28 PM
I actually do this. I take a headline that's not flattering to Trump and try to find it on Fox's "news" site. It's tough to find some, and even within the article, you typically have to read far down into the article to find something nearing fact.

"Things happen."

What a crime boss would say.

No question that you're first two points are correct.

But if a politician doesn't care about his political future, only his financial future, and doesn't have a conscience, what then?
November 19, 2025 at 12:59 AM
Spot on.

It's baffling to me that no one speak up. Now I know there's the "bystander effect" going on here, but my god, this isn't the first time!

And I find it incredible that the target doesn't instinctively tell him to "**ck you **shole!"

Because they weren't included?

Because they find it obscene? After all, the search of phone log metadata was approved by a Federal judge and not unusual in any way.

The Dems have effectively highlighted ACA subsidies and the increased costs which will now ensue.

Since the ACA subsidies will negatively impact more Red states than Blue states, Trump supporters are more likely to punish Republicans next fall

The Dems can highlight this again in a few months.

It's called murder; plain and simple.

And, it's equivalent to another country murdering US citizens in their private boats just off the US coast, in international waters.

Spot on opinion article, IMO, unfortunately.

"Another reason is that the public appears to have grown numb to scandal. Offenses that triggered a powerful response during the Watergate era now are accepted, particularly if it involves a member of one’s political tribe."

And if he must be awake, please let him simply play golf.
November 7, 2025 at 11:16 PM
True. And the broader truth he doesn't care about the long-term or the future or anyone else. His time horizon is extremely short.

Not only that, but he cares about nobody else.
