Yeah, don't buy fitbits any more.

Garmin seem like the best replacement and unlikely to get swallowed up.

Most everything I learned about DIY came from watching and "helping" my dad to do things as a kid (including him helping someone install new central heating for our house) and then having some memory of "Oh, I think it works something like...".

I'm not up to Mr. Bee's level though.

I have Thundershots (including one of all original '80s parts and bodyshell, never used.... just for decoration), Terra Scorcher, Midnight Pumpkin and a scattering of others.

Tamiya have been cashing in on the '80s nostalgia, many re-releases of classic cars.

Just charging batteries because on Saturday I'm getting RC cars out with someone I've known since I was a kid. Lipo batteries and brushless motors bring new life, speed and longer running times to '80s RC cars. It's hilarious.

I've been seeing a lot of responses from mad people on American friend's posts about it must be bad people who deserve it or they are "withholding judgement" about if it is bad or not. A lot of people are just neck deep in denial.

Apparently they also sometimes take your phone (or laptop or any other device) entirely or plug it into a device which we can only assume is breaking into it and pulling a full image of everything.

I'm thinking the travel phone with nothing on it is a good option.

They can require you to give access/passwords to your social media accounts (apps on your phone or not) and if you've ever posted something they take a dislike to then you don't get in.

Historically that'd be send you back, now I'd be concerned about a month+ in horrific conditions.

He said he changed his name, in part, so that white men had to call him "Mr" instead of "boy".

David Tennant also acceptable.

I'm not sure what storage solution would fit 39 inch shoes...

Otto was really good, had my eyes leaking. Didn't expect that from what I knew about the film.

Enough power to get lucrative gigs on the speaking circuit and/or consultancies for the companies you used power to enable making massive amounts of money to the detriment of the people.

Boris wanted to be prime minister to be prime minister. Then when he was he hid in a fridge.

You can be not very bright but still get power and money.

A friend of mine used to volunteer at the New England Aquarium. Stories of being in the penguin enclosure with her tool box fixing things. The penguins would gather around the toolbox and then suddenly scatter... then she'd have to work out what tools they'd stolen and where they were now hidden.
