Trump shutting down say 40 competitive house races seems kind of plausible. Sending 500 newly branded ICE Election Monitors to "monitor" and disrupt each race would tax their resources, sure, but seems like a thing he would do.

Is this what is making the rounds now or is there a greater messaging push that anyone who criticizes the dem leadership is a doomer? I've seen it a couple of times tonight.

Meanwhile Tesla is at 1.5 Trillion with 1/100th of infrastructure, technology or experience. There is also very little money to be made here, as can be seen with Uber now being the monopolistic market leader and still not being able to show promised returns.

Qanon didn't care one bit about Epstein. It was its own thing, enough so that people who were covering the Qanon movement (QAA and the like) were frequently and frustratingly pointing to Epstein as a real conspiracy Qanon was ignoring because it wasn't insane enough for them.

They keep on creating new reskins of what is ChatGPT underneath, but it can also badly copy/paste terminal commands and fail sending api requests to a discord channel.

Yeah, this article is slop. Quick google search with people who tried openclaw say it's basically useless. All of the "it plugs into ___" stuff is basic api stuff, and then it's basically a script that extracts commands to run and copy/pastes them? I didn't see an actual case use.

I think ownership is scared/compliant. This is yet another reason for them to pull back on covering stuff Trump doesn't like. Same as NYT, great reporters, horrible editors/management.

Not sure if this is directed at me, but, yes, that is what I am arguing, that ICE will continue to be funded until Republicans are forced to cut it. Shutdown is the leverage to make them do that.

You don't know anything about me, but making a standpoint argument here isn't going to accomplish anything. Neither is pretending this configuration of the state isn't different or more insidious. Neither is implying that nothing should be done about it?

And current demand that we put a stop to an ever expanding personal army entirely controlled by Trump and is terrorizing every blue state and city is unreasonable? or? What do you mean The Democrats shouldn't demand what they want? that's how government works. You demand thing that you want!

I hope it doesn't, but every day the overton window shifts more to the right. In a couple of months the argument might be over how many citizens get to be deported with Democrats saying they got Trump to only denaturalize those who became citizens in the last 10 years vs his initial demand of all

Millions are already being harmed. From ending of ACA (last cave) to ICE currently. They are building out concentration camps currently! The point of having leverage is to have Republicans make concessions. The last shutdown IMPROVED the Democrats popularity!!! Caving in to Trump is how we got here.

We either reckon with Trump and suffer the managed pain now, or post-pone it a few years, by making it a permanent reality. Trump will cut all snap funding, they already cut so many people off. ACA is going away. It's happening in real time.

Trump is already making people suffer and is about to make it so that there's no recourse for next couple of decades. He is building his own personal army and we are headed toward Putins Russia here, if not worse. The shutdown hurt Red states as much as Blue states and was leverage.

And Republicans were paying a price for the shutdown. The Dems approval numbers shot up! Trump needs to be stood up to and the way to do it is by making Republicans turn on Trump. Because at the end of the day Dem demands are nothing radical, Trump has everyone scared though

If you think Republicans were ok with a government shutdown, you are wrong. There is a good chance that it could have been the thing that finally made them turn on Trump and ended this insanity. Instead, Trump has extra time to get all of his ducks in a row and have the media focus on something else
