Think the PSR bubble is going to burst for Villa. Yes revenue has gone up significantly but no seeming cost control (96% wages to revenue). Even with selling £130m of player last summer! #avfc

Lost my rag at them tonight on the sofa. A performance that has been typical of premier league season. Disappointing. Not sure what to pin it on apart from mistakes at crucial times have been consistent throughout. I sense we lack a physicality at times! #avfc

A performance to be proud of. The players willed their way to a win. Bit of luck but desire and some quality at key moments. First half we got done tactically but he nailed the subs at good times.Thought McGinn and Tielemans grabbed control of it! UTFV. #avfc

Enjoyed that Villa performance. Couldn’t criticise any of them tonight, but we are clunky on the ball at times. Disasi looks good to me. Rogers has to play in the 10 for me. Probably need a run of 5 or 6 wins on the spin to get us back into champions league contention. #avfc

A patch up window by the villa. I do think we need to future proof the squad a bit. Would like some players that are young and actually will contribute straight away rather than PSR sacrificial lambs. Feels a bit Monchi at Roma rather than Monchi at Sevilla to be honest. #avfc

Aston Villa 2024-2025. Played in moments. Deep down though not very good. I try to be rational as I can but I absolutely have hated some of the displays this season. Slow and ponderous on the ball. Poor decision making. Not a great combo. #AVFC

That was awful half of football. A horrible arrogant display. Didn’t compete. Didn’t win a tackle. Yes we played midweek but we jogged through that half. #avfc

Conflicted about Duran. Special special talent. Remember him hitting the bar against City in one of his first games and thinking wow! Completely batshit. Would be more upset if he had backed his ability and gone to competitor or a top league. Whether he fulfils his talent, I’m not sure! #AVFC

Another special night… we continue to play in bursts. And seem to thrive when the game is open. Thought Watkins and Kamara were brilliant. It’s been fun Jhon Duran but the message from Emery after Monaco last week about players following the plan was the writing on the wall. #AVFC

Strange day at Villa park. Had my son sat next to me in my season ticket seat for a change and that was great. But underlying concern about Ty. Some footballers mean more to their clubs than maybe should be expected. He’s one. Good footballer. Proper person. #avfc
