Ah I see, if he is in fact an old male then hopefully the owner understands that there’s nothing anyone can do for them after maturity. That’s just a sad fact of nature for tarantulas, would be nothing to do with you!

Don’t stress out too much! If the abdomen’s a good size he can go months without eating just fine. I’ve barely fed my juvenile G pulchra at all in the last 6+ months because it’s so chunky
They can refuse for quite a long time when entering premolt too
