You would be surprised. Some people actually enjoy objectively crap beer. It just tastes different than the stuff they are used to drinking

A common issue here as well. Unfortunately, many people will not complain or, even worse, think that is how the beer should be and even (loudly) enjoy it!

Or they might be ahead of the revived curve? Fads come and go, only to eventually return.
